/in News /by ClerkPolice and Crime Commissioners across the South West have come together to launch a survey to explore how crime is affecting rural communities.
In Wiltshire, the Rural Crime Team cover all heritage and wildlife crime including theft of livestock and machinery, fly tipping, poaching and hare coursing to name a few.
The survey asks rural residents if they have been the victim of any crimes in the last 12 months as well as asking what rural crimes concern them the most.

Temporary Closure of: C415 (Part), Royal Wootton Bassett and Broad Town (30.08.2023)
/in News /by ClerkPlease see the below links to the Notice and Indicative Plan for a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO) for C415 (Part), Royal Wootton Bassett and Broad Town commencing 30th August 2023.
C415 (Part), Royal Wootton Bassett and Broad Town; from its junction with C15 for a
distance of approximately 200m in a south easterly direction.
To enable: Thames Water to carry out work to set up a new connection and other
associated works.
Alternative route: via C415 (unaffected length) – C119 – C15 and vice versa.
The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
The Order will come into operation on 30 August 2023 and the closure will be required for 3
days

Broad Town Parish Council – Inspection of Accounts 2022-2023
/in News /by ClerkAs per the provisions of the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 and the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015, Broad Town Parish Council has made its Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR) for the year 2022-23 available for inspection by any interested person, together with all accounting records; books; deeds; contracts; bills; vouchers; receipts and other documents relating to these records.
If you have any issues to raise or wish to see the full accounts, please contact the Parish Clerk at . In accordance with the guidelines, the full accounts are available to view between the 12th June and the 21st July 2022.
The full Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR) documents and internal audit reports can be found here under the financial year 2022-23
Broad Town Parish Council qualifies for an exemption from an external audit, due to it having income/expenditure below £25,000 in 2022-23. The completed and signed Certificate of Exemption for 2022-23 can be found below.

Village Tidy-Up Saturday 29th April
/in News /by ClerkLet’s give the village a spring clean ready for the King’s Coronation weekend. Meet us at the Village Hall at 10 am for a village tidy and litter pick up.
We will be providing litter picker tongs, gloves, bin bags and Hi-Viz vests to teams of willing helpers.
We are also looking for volunteers with spades/shovels and buckets to weed the pavements.
