January Meeting
Starting off 2020 we had a very interesting and humorous talk from John Jameson Davis, a handwriting expert, on how he comes to the conclusion a signature or piece of writing is fake or real. He analyses the problem for up to a week and banks and solicitors often ask him his view on suspect cases. John brought along some signatures of famous people so we could relate what he was saying to their personalities – it all seemed to fit well! He also showed us the tell-tale signs of fraud in handwriting. We then had a show of hands as to which resolutions we wished to pursue this year out of a call to increase potential stem cell donor registration, female crash test dummies, end modern slavery, time to talk about death and dying and protect our precious helium. Next month we have a talk about the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation. 15
